Perfect Avocado Toast for Breakfast

Start your day off right with a delicious and nutritious avocado toast that’s easy to make and full of flavor! This recipe is perfect for busy mornings or a leisurely brunch.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices of whole grain or sourdough  bread
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced (optional)
  • Your choice of toppings (e.g., poached egg, cherry tomatoes, radishes, microgreens, feta cheese)

Instructions:

  1. Toast the  Bread: Start by toasting the slices of bread to your desired level of crispiness.
  2. Prepare the Avocado:
    • Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit.
    • Scoop the flesh into a bowl and add lemon juice, garlic (if using), salt, and pepper.
    • Mash the avocado with a fork until it’s creamy but still a bit chunky.
  3. Assemble the Toast:
    • Spread a generous layer of the mashed avocado onto each slice of toast.
